Lithographed tin toys are the start to a new collection. As well as these toys Tony has rediscovered the potential of meccano as another material with which to work. He travels to European bric-a-brac markets. On the last trip he collected a number of toy train signals from Lille and Utrecht. As well as fascinating objects in their own right, they have a binary function and they are a reminder of the pioneering work by the Russian constructivists.
These sculptures were part of the Royal West of England Academy (RWA) Bridge Exhibitions in 2006.
